Madison Centre – a shopping mall in Burnaby with approximately 17 retailers – came to Curve looking to refresh the building’s common areas with new creative graphic designs. The goal was to upgrade the mall’s aesthetics to help retain new and existing shoppers, as well as retailers.
Madison Centre’s common areas featured wall art, large, intersecting curves and lots of natural light. Curve worked with a team of designers to enhance these existing elements by adding large banners and backlit advertisements to entrances, halls, stairwells and the parking lot. The finished product gave Madison Centre a fresh feel that appealed to its existing customers – people who live in the area and are from a mix of cultures and age groups and shop at the mall mainly for convenience. The new signage also improved the feel of the mall for retailers, which include small boutiques, Joey’s, Winners and Save-On-Foods.
